Welcome to Europe?  LOL!

In Oregon we had US 42 shields on SR 42 put up in the Camas Valley area for a while.  Hard to believe that people who are in the highway sign biz are that clueless but hey, it's your tax dollars at work!

Rick
US 101 is THE backbone of the Pacific coast from Bandon OR to Willits CA.  Industry, tourism and local traffic would be gone or severely crippled without it being in functioning condition in BOTH states.

That is priceless. US 42 is in the midwest. NOT ORGEON. Also there are 3 freeway entrance signs there. Two are the blue ones and a pole with a sign is blocking a normal green one.
Only two things are infinite in this world, stupidity, and I-75 construction

Much of Nordic Europe uses green on motorways, including motorway entrance sign assemblies.

Not just blue, but redundant.  There's a standard green "Freeway Entrance" sign on the left.

There are some blue directional signs here in the Phoenix area mounted on the median of certain roads that indicate the route and cardinal direction for traffic turning left onto a freeway.  However, these signs are now being phased out in favor of new green signs in Clearview.

It got me thinking of the "blue" green guide signs that were used along the 73 toll road in California from around 2002.

The blue "Freeway Entrance" signs were replaced in late 2014/early 2015 with the standard green signs. I actually posted about this last year. The signs had approval stickers on the back, which further adds to the confusion.
