I found this sign re. Interstate 44 on Wikipedia:

Do you know of any signs that take a commonly used shape but are almost "abused," like this one?
What's not to like about highways and bridges, intersections and interchanges, rails and planes?

I accept and respect your identity as long as it's not dumb shit like "identifying as a vaccinated attack helicopter".

What about the '1&9' and '1-9' ones in NJ?
Or the

I've seen those types of signs on MLK Boulevard in Indianapolis for I-70/I-65
Only two things are infinite in this world, stupidity, and I-75 construction

Downtown KCMO has a few of these with 35 and 70 within the same shield.

Yoder, Kansas (an Amish town) has a few horse carriage warning signs on K-96.

But that isn't nonstandard. It's W11-14.

I didn't know that.  It's not common in Kansas.

Is the horse pulling a street rod or a dune buggy?

It's a hot horse! (awaiting for that to be taken out of context! LOL)

I was thinking Santa's sleigh (if Hot Wheels got ahold of it).

I know I've seen several warning signs with this sort of arrow on it, but none that I can think of with Google Street View available.  I've usually seen them on county roads.  Does anyone have a picture of one?

I don't ever recall having seen this sort of arrow in the MUTCD.

I have yet to see it as a regular warning sign, but it does exist as a temporary (construction) sign, as a W24-1

Yep, these lane-change construction signs are very common currently in northeastern Kansas.

kphoger

Oh, I've definitely seen it on a yellow diamond. At least now I know where they got the arrow design.

Do arrows on flimsy cardboard signs pointing to yard sales count?

No bestiality? What the hell are they going to make signs for next?

Then there's this, which I joked meant caution: french fry ahead.

Off the top of my head I would say the US 1/9 multiplex in New Jersey.

Bacon ahead.

That's probably a failed way of truncated W1-6 from the MUTCD (which I dug up). The first couple feet on the road are straight, but on the sign it starts curved. Then the curve happens, and the sign is a little off. It's an acceptable error margin. But that's it, the road straightens out just before the traffic light there, yet the sign still has the road curved.
