This was taken in 1974, and as you can see, this is an earlier mast-supported setup, however it appears to not have been actived yet, since the signal heads are not yet facing the road, and you can see older post mounted equitment along with it. I belive this was on Broad Street. This is cool to know, since now I know that all the older mast-atm setups along Broad Street were installed in 1974!!!! Finally, after years of internet search, I found out when these were installed.

Yes I remember those and there was one left in 1985, the first time I clinched US 1 between I-76 and US 322 on a trip to the Longwood Gardens.

There were more around the city, and even Easton used them as well.

Schmidt's was a major sponsor of Phillies broadcasts when I was growing up in the seventies.  The brewery closed in 1987* when the company was bought by G. Heilmann and moved production of Schmidt's to its Baltimore plant.  Schmidt's was the last brewery in Philadelphia at the time when it closed (although "craft" breweries and brewpubs have sprung up around the city since then).

Prior to Citizens Bank Park being constructed in the early 2000s; there was a proposal floating around that would've placed the new ball park at the old brewery site.  Unlike the other proposed locations (aside from South Philadelphia where Veteran's Stadium stood); most of the surrounding neighbors were actually in favor of such a proposal.

Needless to say, such didn't happen (many officials were still (foolishly IMHO) pushing for a Center City location) and CBP was ultimately built next to the old Veteran's Stadium.
