Main Ave in lieu of Main St

I wonder how many towns have a Main Ave in lieu of a Main St.  I know in some towns that Street may run east/west and Avenue may run north/south which may even force a town to use Ave in lieu of street.  Anyone know of any out there?

Norwalk, CT has Main St. (part of which is CT 123) that turns into Main Ave.  It is all basically the old alignment of US 7 before Super 7 was built.  The transition point looks to be Broad St., not the point where CT 123 leaves the road.  There is also an unrelated North and South Main Street in South Norwalk.

Interstates I've clinched: 97, 290 (MA), 291 (CT), 291 (MA), 293, 295 (DE-NJ-PA), 295 (RI-MA), 384, 391, 395 (CT-MA), 395 (MD), 495 (DE), 610 (LA), 684, 691, 695 (MD), 695 (NY), 795 (MD)

I am not aware of a Main Avenue, at least one I can name off the top of my head, but I do know that the city of Adrian, Minnesota, where I had various relatives live in the past, has a Maine Avenue (which happens to be MN 91).  All the N-S streets are avenues named for states.

I was always under the impression they would call it Main Street in that scenario regardless of whether the parallel streets were Streets or Avenues.

Sidney, Ohio has a Main Avenue for the exact reason you specify.

Maybe OT, one of the roads that connects US 17 to Johns Island in SC is actually called Main Rd.  It is not a road that goes into a town though.

Carol Stream, IL, has a Main Place rather than a Main Street. That's because it's the logical continuation (not connected) of Main Street in Wheaton. Main Place is not a major street.

I knew there was one I had recently seen but couldn't remember where it was.  Clear Lake, Iowa has one.  And that one does appear to be a case of the street being parallel to all the avenues instead of all the streets.  I should have remembered that one because that's the site of my future job, at least.

The North Fork of Long Island has Main Road (NY 25), if that does anything for you.

NY 66 through Wyantskill. There's also one in Schenectady and another in Albany, both side streets.

Notably, most of the cities in the extended Capital District don't have a Main Street that is a major street. Troy's Main Street is a minor side street only serving the county prison, for example.

Gresham, Oregon, in keeping with the overall Portland Metro convention of avenues being N-S, streets E-W. (Oak Grove in Clackamas county is notable for having E-W avenues)

Bismarck, ND has a Main Ave that runs East/West.  Their streets go North/South.

Dickinson, ND has a South Main Ave.  The two main streets in this town are unique because the real "Main St" is old US 10 going East/West (current Business Loop 94), which is called Villard St.
ND highway 22 runs through the middle of town going North/South.  North of Broadway St, ND 22 is called 3rd Ave West, as Sims St a couple blocks to the east divides East and West. (This is leftover from the original part of the town, and was kept the same when ND 22 was established later).  City Streets/Avenues in this area of town are labeled East or West.
South of Broadway St, ND 22 is called South Main Ave because that divides East and West. Sims St never made it to the South side of town.
City Streets/Avenues in this area of town are labeled SW or SE.
The directional naming in this town seems unique too, but that probably could be its own topic.

Clinton, IA, has one -- most of which is part of IA 136.

Which kind of plays into a whole other topic, is your Main St really main?
