I am not memorizing that many digits of pi.  38 is more than sufficient: if one knows the diameter of the universe, one can use that 38-digit approximation of pi and calculate its circumference with a margin of error smaller than the size of an electron.

actually, I did a bit of research and the diameter of the universe in electron-diameters is on the order of 10^41, which means that 38 digits of pi is just barely not enough to make that claim... change it to "diameter of a hydrogen atom", which is about 10000 times as large, and we're all set, even accounting for a bit of quibble margin.

The diameter of the observable universe is approximately 46 billion light-years.  The size of the universe as a whole is unknown.  I don't know how the hypothesis of an universe of infinite size can be squared with a total particle count of 2 x 10⁷⁹.
