It stands for "trafficway", a type of road that's specific to the Kansas City area.

Well, there's no restriction on picture quality or context, as long as the sign is legible. As you probably have noticed, I captured a lot of my Florida pics from my dashboard camera movies. The context wasn't worth saving.
