Dang it, I live nowhere near the Mississippi River, what about the Hudson River?

I live even further from the Mississippi but I did make one journey over it on I-80 near the Quad Cities.

Is the reason this is not in Clearview because it's in Missouri and in Missouri's style signage?

I took this photo in April 2015, if that helps answer your question.  I didn't take photos of signs on the other side of the bridge and I don't recall if any were in Clearview.

I also propose a motion that we make this a multi-day challenge until we have every bridge covered (south of Minneapolis).

Well, we already have one other open-ended Challenge going with the state capitols. (Actually two, if you count the highest-numbered state highway, which I don't think was ever quite finished, but honestly I've given up keeping track of that one.)

Also remember that we have a one-photo-per-Answer rule, so you'd have to choose your bridge photos carefully! (Unless we decide to suspend that rule as well, which might make sense.)

That would interest me, too. I wonder if this wouldn't make more sense as an entirely separate challenge thread? The "River Crossings Compendium Challenge", or some such? :-D

You could just say "in different months" or "in different years," to specify.

Incidentally, this is exactly what the "O" tag is for in my photo titles--indicating an old photo for which a more current photo also exists.

Look at this photo showing an old, crappy, overgrown intersection at US45 and IL-22 with ancient dilapidated signals:

IL-021-022O by Paul Drives, on Flickr

Now, look at how much the interchange has grown!  Nice new signals, signage, and widened corridors.  (Note: this photo is taken facing south, but the above photo was taken facing north)
