Have 12 inch lights made it to your state?
It's all fun & games until someone summons Cthulhu and brings about the end of the world.

I also collect traffic lights, road signs, fans, and railroad crossing equipment.

I-405 Los Angeles how many miles should be expanded.

Should CA-7 Long Beach Freeway be expanded to Pasadena.

Should I-605 exist

Should I-5w be renamed I-580 or US-50?

Why did I-480 become CA-480?

Why did SSR 178 west of Bakersfield become SSR 58?  Is the Divisions of Highways trying to pull a fast one and say this the new corridor of the future after building a new road?

Parts of Chicago have them
Huntsville appears to have started using 12 inch lights by 1964 as well.

To that you can add "Oregon State to go to the Rose Bowl!".  January 1st, 1965 was the last time the Beavers played in that bowl game.  They lost to Michigan 34-7.  Funny thing: OSU scored first!  Tommy Prothro was the coach and since he did so well in Corvallis, someone at UCLA figured he would do great in LA.  Prothro moved on.

OSU has the distinction of winning just one Rose Bowl and the game was not even played in Pasadena!  Due to the attack on Pearl Harbor, OSU's game with Duke was moved to Durham NC.  The Blue Devils went down by a count of 20-16.

Waiting over half a century for a return to the Rose Bowl is getting into Chicago Cubs territory...LOL!

Rick
And the Minnesota Golden Gophers have waited even longer.

The latest hotels, restaurants and campgrounds open to "coloreds", based on the widely recommended Motorist Green Book (remember, this is 1964 - right before the US civil rights act's passage into law):

The biggest topic: Should we have a John F Kennedy named everything?

Example: the John F Kennedy Space Center in Cape Kennedy (or Cape Canaveral) Florida.

In Indio, CA, there's a John F Kennedy Elementary school (I didn't attend that one, I went to Dwight Eisenhower and infamous: Andrew Jackson schools - I'm part-Cherokee )...and John F Kennedy Memorial Hospital - also there's an Eisenhower Medical center in Rancho Mirage.

HOT TOPIC: the new major league baseball ballpark near US 101 (I-5) in the citrus grove area of Anaheim in Orange County, CA - they're gonna build another freeway by the Santa Ana River. GO CALIFORNIA ANGELS! (was first, Los Angeles, then Anaheim and now L.A. Angels of Anaheim).
Get your kicks...on Route 99! Like to turn 66 upside down. The other historic Main street of America.

I'm definitely rooting for the Cardinals. (Spoiler: they did win)

Please note that I may mention "invalid" FM channels, i.e. ending in an even number or down to 87.5. These are valid in Europe.

If this forum had been around in 1964, what thread topics would there have been?  I'll start.

If they are doing anything like Missouri Highway Department seems to be doing, probably build new roadway.
