Lake George NY trip July 4 week end

Going to lake George NY tomorrow from Stewartsville, NJ  and my current route is still I-78 East I-287 North and I-87 North up to Lake George Via Albany, NY and during the trip I might hit early morning congestion on I-287 North in Morristown, NJ area or I-87 North in Albany, NY metro area, but for the Stewartsville, NJ up to Suffern, NY leg of the trip the alternate would be  CR-519,RT-57 RT-182, US-46 I-80 and I-287 then I-87 because I-78 East to I-287 North gets heavy build up in Bedminster or Clinton and I had to contend with I-287 morning rush hour traffic from Bedminster to Morristown

If your name is correct you should use the Holland Tunnel because Bengoatse

I'd just find a way to shoot up NJ/NY 94 to Vail's Gate, then up NY 300 to the Thruway in Newburgh to bypass the whole 78/287/87 mess .  If you want to avioid the Exit 24 backup, just get off at 23 and heaf up 787 to Route 7 west, then hit the Northway from there.

Even the return trip to NJ was successful, but with delays on I-87 between 20-18 and 17-15A, or from 17N-S to Balston Spa exit and exit 1A mess. Should've  have used I-87 I-84 I-380,I-80 and PA-33 to by pass the congestion on I-87 NYS Thruway from exits 17-15

Why not use US 209 instead of 380?  That would be shorter and more direct or even the reverse of what JP suggested by using NY 300 and NY/NJ 94 to CR 519.
