It'd be kind of a shame if they stop putting the route numbers on the markers, IMO.

I have never seen them with route numbers until this thread. The numbers look weird to me.

Huh. I just assumed that putting them on was the standard, since most of the pictures in this thread had markers with the numbers, and that the one without numbers was a newer marker going away from that practice.

To be fair, I didn't know this class of highways even existed until I saw this thread.

There is also 922 off US 165 south of Dermott

Just checked GSV on that and apparently it's signed as 722-1A...

That was 922-1A back in 2012; an error or re-numbering of routes?

The numbers aren't suffixes, the refer to the section numbers. AR 922-1A means AR 922, Section 1A.
