Hey everyone, I'd like to introduce myself!

My name is Sammi, I'm a girl, just turned 16, living in Thornhill a suburb of Toronto ON, originally from the Philippines.

I don't know much about roads, but I'd love to learn, which is why I signed up for this forum. You might also see me post on SkyscraperCity, specializing partly in Philippine expressways (it helped that I've been lurking here while waiting for my registration to push through :-P).

That's probably enough about me. I look forward :-)

Dr Frankenstein

Hello from nearby (by Canadian roadgeek standards) Montreal area!

You're not the first MF transgender here, if that helps. I'm not going to name names, though; she'll manifest herself if she wishes.

You mean by tourist standards? :-D

"Wanna go to Montréal for lunch?" Only 7½ hours from Niagara Falls.

It's nice to know that I'm not the only one... But I have a feeling I know who the other one is. :-|

I don't think I've ever gone out of my way to put the accent mark on that e, ever.  I'm kinda heartened that, on this English-speaking forum, a Montreal local doesn't do it either.  makes me seem less sloppy  :sombrero:

I don't know, it just happened to not have an accent, and I just happened to put one.

sammi's right, though. The Commission de toponymie seems to suggest that writing Montréal without the diacritic is wrong. Several press style guides (notably the ones from CP and The Gazette) allow it to be omitted in most cases, but it's not allowed in official documents. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Montreal#cite_note-6

Anyway, thanks and welcome! :D

Ones. Are.

There are at least three others here. It's okay.

I assumed there was the one.

wait, why the bolding?  it seems like the original quote is the same - you didn't FTFY anything.

Simply emphasizing how Dr Frankenstein implied that there was only one.
