I found this sign very odd. It does seem to be a street sign, and the mileage to Pirmasens Germany is more or less correct. But the location of it is very strange. Basically in the middle of a city, with a distance sign to a seemingly unrelated city. Upon further research, it appears that Pirmasens is a twinned (i.e. sister city) of Poissy, where this sign is found.
