Another example of STOP for speed control idiocy in Ridley Township (Delaware County) PA along Academy Ave. at the intersection of Hutchinson Ter. (which is a one-way street heading away from Academy).  The STOP are erected along both directions of Academy Ave.  This example has sidewalks along both sides of Academy:
