600 m to (the turn to go to) Alaska on Alberta 43 in Grande Prairie.  At least at the time, it was the first mention of Alaska as a destination along that route.  June 11, 2001.

600 is still the number? If it makes it to later this afternoon, I know a sign in Southern IL that has "600 feet"  as the distance on it. Its a nice day for a drive, anyway

I didn't think "600 m" would be too hard to match, but here's a Virginia Secondary 600 that should be easy enough to play from.  From US 15.  August 6, 2005.

I recall taking the photo of that Holmes County 600 because that's a number which rarely appears on route shields. Only Ohio and Puerto Rico have it for primary-level routes, and Florida's is a hidden number.

That said, a circle shield means we can jump to New Jersey 7:
