My favorite line in the report was that the sign will be hard to hide because the lights will continue to flash. I guess they haven't yet discovered tarps in Kosciusko County. 

I know it's no joke when stop signs are stolen, but this report is amusing.

Its kind of a joke when a rural jurisdiction buys overly expensive solar powered flashing stop signs when conventional $45-$70 dollar variants would do just fine.

no, just until batteries discharge.  SHould take a day or two.

Also could've gone one size larger to increase visibility. Overhead flashers, while expensive to install, are better than LED stop signs. They are more visible, cannot be vandalized, and they don't  have to be replaced every 10 years. Sometimes the old way is better. Also they should put down stop bars

If it takes more than a week to discharge battery, wire cutting may a good idea. However, wiring should be hidden and protect from accidental damage...
