It seems there's nothing that can't be made better by adding graphene. Now it's pavement. An Italian company, Iterchimica, has developed a graphene supermodifier that they call Gipave. It's been used in several select applications including on the new Genoa bridge and on an airport runway in Rome. In lab tests, it's shown an increase in lifespan of up to 250% as well as improvements in tensile strength and improved resistance to softening in the heat and cracking in the cold. Also, graphen is very electrically conductive, so it opens up the potential for adding snow melt capabilities.

Graphene is more expensive than silver.

That's because production volumes are currently very low.

There's no study yet, so it could still make it better (plus butter).

I'd like to see kernals12 do a taste test first.

Next month, a British company will start offering concrete with Graphene mixed in. They say it's twice as strong and 4 times as water resistant as regular concrete. The first application will be in fireplaces but if it's cost effective, you can bet it will be showing up in highway overpasses.

Nowhere in the article does it say how much it costs.  Hmmmmmm.

I looked it up when he mentioned it in the other thread. While each source seems to disagree somewhat, every number I saw gives a number that's more expensive than silver.

Graphene isn't being mass produced yet.

It isn't.  So I won't.

At some point in human history, it was too expensive to make things with cement or aluminum.
