odd...Kentucky is one of the States where I have state-named I-shields and US shields....but no State route shields....usually those are easiest to locate...

Nope. It was a short-lived error back in late 2004 when 71 was first upgraded north of the AR/MO State Line. I don't think the signs lasted more than 6 months. My pic was taken just south of Route OO
