I recently finished a drafting and design program at a tech college, now I've been looking around for civil design/drafting technician jobs around the country. Would any of the DOT/civil engineering employees around here have any leads?

I accept and respect your identity as long as it's not dumb shit like "identifying as a vaccinated attack helicopter".

This is an excellent forum for this! A couple of us have actually helped our friends/fellow roadgeeks find jobs so far - at TomTom in particular. Drafting technician... do you mean CADD? There are definitely openings around. Are you open to moving anywhere, any particular favorites?

Yeah, With AutoCAD. I'm open to moving, I'm considering anything from the Carolinas, Central and Southern Ohio, Virginia, DC/Baltimore, to possibly Sacramento or North/Central California. I'd prefer the Carolinas and Ohio because I've lived in these places before, depending on where the money is.

I'd recommend finding us on LinkedIn. If you're not sure, I can email you my info. Connect to as many people as you can, and use the forums there to network further and get tips. If you're not on LinkedIn, well, there's step 1.
