Still no correct guesses so far.  A couple have gotten close.  I chose this Interstate because people from the state pictured often forget it even goes through said state.

Keep going...

I intentionally misled people by posting an image where an onramp joins the freeway.  For some reason, the addlane leading into the merge is striped in this portion of the state with skip dashes rather than dotted lines (pka "puppy tracks").  The roadway is 2 lanes per carriageway, not 3 like the picture suggests.  :D :pan:

I-57

I considered doing the same Interstate twice, but decided against it.
People are getting so, so close.

I-64?

US 89 is correct!  This is I-64 in Illinois, along the eastbound onramp of the second interchange west of the Indiana border.

My statement of "keep going" came after people guessed I-84 and then I-74, as I hoped people would continue to subtract 10.  For some reason, the offramp addlanes that eventually dissipate are separated by regular skip dashes rather than dotted lines.  I don't know if it's a quirk of this stretch of Interstate in particular, or it's a thing District 8 does.

US 89 is the next guessmaster.

Ooo fun. I prefer to use my own photos for these, so it's a little more difficult to find a good photo as most of the pictures I take tend to be sign-centered (which sort of gives away the answer).

Anyway, here's what I have:

People forget that I-64 exists in Illinois? I get it if it was I-64 in MO (for its short length in the state, and that locals in St Louis still call it "Highway 40" for the most part), but Illinois???

paulthemapguy

I-80?

I personally forget I-64 goes through Illinois, my home state, because the only times I ever use I-64 are when it's in another state. It's one of two 2di's I haven't clinched within Illinois state boundaries, and I have hardly been on any of it.

Maybe it's simply my frequent travels between Cincinnati and St Louis that has me not forget that I-64 goes through the state. I've clinched I-64 (and I-70) through Illinois multiple times because of that.

US 89

Don't forget Illinois does not exist beyond the Cook County line. Therefore I-64 does not exist in Illinois.

I almost guessed I-64!

For this one, I-95.
