You are correct!  This is northbound in St. Petersburg.  The sign that was covered up would have been a dead giveaway, and features two 3di's that will probably never make it to this game due to their lack of nondescriptness.  Overall I'm a fan of I-275 through St. Petersburg.  It's a bit less stressful than going through Tampa, and has one section south of here where the carriageways cross over one another briefly.

There are indeed some 4-lane sections of I-695, but I'm afraid this is not one of them.

All of the guesses so far, while incorrect, are in the right region: Northeast.

An additional clue: There is a toll plaza roughly a mile ahead from the pictured location, but it is not the 3di in question that is tolled.

That's the one! Yes, the Harrisburg East interchange toll plaza is indeed the one I was referring to in my clue.

(And as you probably noticed since you found the spot on streetview, I conveniently picked a spot just past ground-mounted signage for PA 283/Hbg Int'l Airport on the right & the Turnpike on the left.)
