We have a winner!

It's I-85 in Alabama, southbound (heading is more W/SW) between Exits 26 and 22, near the town of Shorter.  Up ahead just before Exit 22, off to the left, you can see a parking structure for VictoryLand Casino.  It currently only operates as a casino only, as the hotel and restaurants have been closed for a few years (not sure if the greyhound track is still open or not).  The State of Alabama had been trying to shut it down for several years, but a judge ordered it back open.

Nice! I actually just found the location before I saw your reply. It was good one, you just got unlucky that I've driven that road many times.   

My initial thought was actually I-81 until I remembered I-99.
