Mike
I keep looking at the 2003 Tigers and seeing where they were at this point in the season, Tigers were two games better after 111 games. They didn't have 14 and 17 game losing streaks though the most they lost in a row was 11 and they actually won 5 of their last 6 games of the season. I think the Sox will be worse.
I'm not a White Sox fan, but still find it very sad to see how far they've fallen. In fact, I expect them to surpass the '62 Mets' modern record of 120 losses, something the '03 Tigers miraculously failed to do.
Yeah it's not easy, I actually know more about the Tigers now days than I ever have that's just because they are the local tea but I watch any game that's on though so that helps I guess. Like right now I'm watching the Rockies and Angels it just helps from having to watch the White Sox lose. Jerry Reinsdorf is a horrible owner and is still stuck in the 1980's.

Still, it's a miracle the White Sox won the 2005 World Series, one year after the Red Sox.
Yeah it is a miracle, I call it a fluke.

I wouldn't call it a fluke. Pretty much all of their off-season moves paid off and they were clearly the best team in the AL that entire season.

Here is who they added:

Jermaine Dye: Free agent. Started pretty much every day in RF and was the World Series MVP
Scott Podsednik: Trade with Brewers. Freakishly good year, even made the All-Star game. LF
A.J. Pierzynski: Free agent. Regular catcher.
Tadahito Iguchi: Free agent from Japan. Regular 2B

They had a decent pitching staff prior. They added El Duque, who didn't do much during the year, but absolutely shined in the playoffs.
You are correct. All those signings they made were good signings but I don't think coming out of Spring Training anyone thought the White Sox would win that year I'm pretty sure everyone thought Boston would repeat or something. The next season they added Jim Thome and I thought they were even better but the second half of 2006 they collapsed. And that playoff run in 2005 they only lost 1 game with all those complete games in the ALCS that was pretty amazing. But I say it was a fluke because they didn't sustain that success and other than a couple years with Ozzie still there they stayed in contention but never really made a big threat.

Tigers baseball is back in most of Metro Detroit now that Comcast has settled with Bally Sports.

Nothing poor about that franchise, it can rot in hell. Lost all the trust of their fanbase and now we're all rooting for them to go all the way and get the most losses record.

When you run it like shit, you get shit results. Top to bottom, everyone in that organization deserves this.

With all those MLB neutral-site games becoming more common through the years, I wonder what new location they'll come up with next? I think playing a game in Hawaii would be so much fun, especially on a bright, sunny day or moonlit night. Also, if the Sandlot diamond is still around, I hope they play there too. Next year's Bristol showdown is definitely going to be interesting, if that 2016 college football game (Tennessee-Virginia Tech) is any indication.
Go Cubs Go! Go Cubs Go! Hey Chicago, what do you say? The Cubs are gonna win today!

A Major League game at a high-visibility Minor League stadium such as the Brewers and Cubs at Fox Cities Stadium here in the Appleton, WI area?  It's along I-41 and is the home of the Brewers' class A affiliate Wisconsin Timber Rattlers.

The White Sox should play a game in the middle of Lake Michigan against themselves. No one would go to the game anyway.

Bristol is going to be America's official neutral sports site at this rate.

In their last-ever Oakland season, the A's have already matched their win total from a year ago.

The two worst teams from the previous season should be scheduled to play the MLB Prudhoe Bay Classic Presented by ExxonMobil the following June 21.  First pitch would be at 11 p.m. Alaska time (3 a.m. Eastern), no lights necessary.

The White Sox are a lock for the 2025 game; it looks like the Rockies and Marlins will duke it out to the end for the privilege of representing the National League.

The A's are 22-14 since July 1, and in that time they have won 2 out of 3 in series against some contending teams:  the Phillies, the Astros, and (with today's win in Queens) the Mets.

Christian Yelich is out for the year. The Brewers have a commanding lead in the NL Central, but they're especially now nowhere nearly as deep as the Dodgers or the Phillies.

Teams that SHOULD make their respective LCSs are the Yankees-Orioles and Dodgers-Phillies. Those are the clear top 4 right now. But, the postseason is a different beast. We shall see.

When only one of 8 and 10 teams respectively made the playoffs, versus six out of 15. Which means the current White Sox "win" the tie-breaker I guess.
