Wishing/suggesting "bad karma" is due to a former player and wanting "bad things" to happen to a coach probably says a lot about you as a person.

Meh. I think we're all overreacting to NWI's post. I'm a Vikings fan, so of course I didn't want JJ to get hurt. But we all wish ill-will to some degree on people who we feel like have done us an injustice. And even if not literally, figuratively. Methinks everyone doth protest too much.

If Michigan never cheated, Notre Dame would have made the CFP 0 times in the last 3 years.

Sure. But no one likes being cheated even as a spectator. I don't like Brady because of Spygate, Deflategate, etc. I'm happy for him to get some karma with his divorce, roast, etc. Did anything he did really affect me? No. But I'm going to dislike people I think didn't play fair. Do I want a serious injury? No. But when he did get hurt against the Chiefs back in the day and Cassel took over, did I feel particularly bad? Not really.

Said user has a track record of posts of similar ilk.  I figured it was worth finally inquiring if they are actual sentiment or just hyperbole.  It isn't as though we're getting vehement denials of the former back.

Notre Dame fans are just insufferable in general.

All these injuries in practice don't seem to bode well for the regular season.

Pretty much happens every year.

I'm very tempted to fork the Vikings right now, but I'll wait to see what they do at quarterback. I'll probably find eight teams more deserving of a fork.

The Ghostbuster

Well, last night's Packers-Broncos game was one to forget. The Packers offense looked pathetic, and the final score was Broncos 27, Packers 2. The interception by Kristian Welch was exciting (it would have been more so if Sean Clifford hadn't thrown a pick in the second quarter that was returned 56 yards, and led to a Denver touchdown), and Zach Morton's sack of Zach Wilson for a safety was exhilarating, but it was the Packers only points of the night. Other than that, Packer fans like me could have easily skipped the game. We'll see how the Packers do next week at home against the Baltimore Ravens.

SEWIGuy

Packers hardly played any starters while Denver played theirs well into the second quarter. I am more concerned with reports on how poorly they looked in the joint scrimmages leading up to the game.

thspfc

We talkin bout practice?

tchafe1978

meh, it's preseason. The final score is meaningless. It was a tough game to watch, but most preseason games are.

Sounds like Tua confirmed what we all knew about Brian Flores being a bad coach.

He's a hell of a defensive coordinator though.

Tua's response kind of hit close to home for me during my childhood.  Also reminds me of a certain former pro player that didn't want a certain teammate and bullied him unremorsefully.

Also, Sean Payton evidently decreed Jarrett Stidham not starting material after all.

The Broncos just beat the Cardinals 38-12, having gone 3-0 in the preseason. This is undeniable proof that they will go 0-17 this season, as both winless teams this century went undefeated in the preseason.

Not all teams that were undefeated in the preseason went winless in the regular season though... including the Ravens who did so a bunch of years in a row and had some great regular seasons in that span.  :sombrero:

This is what I like to hear!

I joyfully support Jerry Jones as owner AND manager of the Dallas Cowboys if this is what he chooses to do -- after all who am I to tell an owner what to do with his own property?

And I reason why I'm loving this is so simple:  it restores peace and order in my homeland of Texas every January.  The cycle continues to repeat itself:  every September I have to put up with Cowboys fans all around me gloating about their five Super Bowl banners and that this is their year; then in the playoffs, Jerry makes his own fans sew their mouths shut and walk away with their tail between their legs.

But hey, Jerry is the proud owner of the most valuable sports team in the Western Hemisphere!
