How many more losses until RFK Jr. and Joe Rogan are on the Jets coaching staff?

At least one of them is looking for a full time gig.

Flex scheduling can be used twice between Week 5 and Week 10 to Sunday Night Football as a request by NBC. At week 11, it is the discretion of the NFL to move a game to Sunday Night Football. And only Sunday afternoon games can be flexed. And the announcement must be at least 12 days ahead of time.

Would this match be considered a local derby?  The stadia are only 50 km apart.

It is not looking good for the Texans:
https://www.nfl.com/news/texans-wr-nico-collins-hamstring-placed-on-injured-reserve-will-miss-at-least-four-games

If that wasn't bad enough, my team now has to travel to Foxborough on Sunday, where a even bigger trap game will be set for them -- the Texans have never won a game there in its entire history -- all seven games lost there.  Remember to factor in that factual statistic when making your next predictions....history favors the Patriots to win on Sunday.  In fact I, too, have to say that the ghost/spirit of Tom Brady and Bill Belichick still resides in Gillette Stadium and will continue to haunt and rattle the Texans.

Do the Texans have enough to overcome the odds and terminate a winless streak?  I don't know if they do, but we'll eventually find out; if not the Patriots will extended our winless streak to 0-8 all-time at Tommy's World.  And I don't believe it matters who is on their squad or what their record is....the truth remains that the Patriots are still an extremely scary team to face against in Foxborough.

Not at Foxborough thankfully.  But now our team has to take that dreaded trip there on Sunday.

You'll win by double digits and have 5+ sacks.

It hasn't been Tommy's World since Brady packed up and went to Tampa Bay. Without him, Gronkowski or Belichick, the Patriots haven't been the same, and apparently they've reverted to their pre-2001 form.

This is a rarity but I will be going to a 2nd Packers game this season. I will be in Green Bay on Sunday for the Cardinals. I hope the rain holds off though.

That's what we thought when Peyton Manning packed his bags and moved from the Indianapolis to one of the Mile High cities.  We were 0-9 at Lucas Oil stadium when Peyton changed teams and we thought we'd finally break the barrier and win a game there, but the ghost of Peyton continued to linger at Lucas Oil and haunt the Texans for several more years.  It wasn't until our 14th try in Indianapolis when we finally won our first ever there.  We're fearing the ghost of Tom Brady is still hanging around Gillette Stadium.

See I'm one of those fans that firmly believe that streaks are hard to break -- the longer the losing streak, the harder it is to break it.  It's been 22 seasons and still haven't won at Tommy's World yet, there seems to be an aura or something ominous.  I also firmly believe that no game is ever an easy game no matter what.  The worst team in the league always has a chance against the best team in the league.....any given Sunday

The Colts success after Peyton had to do with Andrew Luck - not a ghost of a previous quarterback.

And that record has a lot to do with the Texans generally being terrible.

In fact, in the case of the Patriots series, it has everything to do with that. the Texans have existed for 23 seasons. They've been better than the Patriots exactly twice in 23 years: 2023 and 2024. Maybe 2019 could be argued, and they beat the Pats in Houston that year. But that's it. At most 3 out of 23. No wonder they lose all the time.

These "curses" simply don't exist. Brady's Patriots went 33-3 against the Bills. Since he left Buffalo leads the series 7-2. The Colts always losing in Jacksonville is pretty funny but even that can be explained by a Midwestern team playing in Florida weather.

It was a total team effort in the Texans first-ever win in Foxborough -- first time in franchise history!  And we did it without our primary weapon, Nico Collins.

The Texans offense started off hot with 14 points in the 1st Q, then cooled way down in the 2nd Q (the slim 14-7 halftime lead was too close for comfort).  But in the second-half, our Texans defense helped re-ignite our offense with two fumbles and an interception, all in NE's side of the field, one of them set up in the Red Zone.  Our defense didn't score any points per se, but greatly assisted in the offense scoring 17 additional points off the three turnovers; four turnovers altogether yesterday.

Also have to give a lot of credit to the NE Patriots, hats off to them for preventing the Texans lead from being extended beyond twenty points; they never gave up.  The Texans largest lead of the game was the final score at 41-21, but the game on the whole was a lot more contested than the final score indicated.  Fun fact:  Drake May contributed three TDs in his first career game, which was also accomplished by his teammate Jacoby Brissett -- in Week Three of the 2016 season, also against my Texans, Jocoby had three TDs in his first career game for the Patriots.

I was watching the game at my local Buffalo Wild Wings with crowds of my fellow Texans fans and even after the Texans won, we all stayed and the cheering, the smiles, and the laughs kept on going through the Detroit Lions 47-9 dominance in Arlington all way to their final score, except the unfortunate injury to Aiden Hutchinson (get well soon) kind of broke the mood quite a bit.

Nico Collins isn't the Texans "primary weapon." That's CJ Stroud.

But, kind of surprisingly, there has only been one intra-NFC North game so far, Vikings beating the Packers. Obviously those games will change this stat when they happen.

Looking at the rest of the NFC, it's definitely plausible that this could be the year we see an entire division make the playoffs.

These impact each other as well. I would bet on 3/4 - Lions and Packers for sure, and one of the other two.

ZLoth

I'm giving up hope that the Cowboys will be in the playoffs this year and am extremely confident that Mike! Mike! Mike!  will be looking for a new job near the end of this year. The Detroit Lions probably loved their strength of victory boost.
