My latest phone app  Google maps has the Gulf of Mexico as the Gulf of America.

Nothing surprises me anymore.

At first I thought this was a hoax as I thought it takes more than one man to change the name of a geographical body of water.

However, it's not with Google displaying the change.

I'll probably be dead before I think of it as GoA instead of GoM. Heck, I still have to remind myself what the current name of Saigon is.

EDIT: I wonder what Mexico is going to do about the Gulf of California.
