Does anyone remember when people used to refer to Ohio state routes as "Buckeyes"? People actually talked about "Buckeye 32", "Buckeye 125", etc.

I remember this being common in the '70s. Then I never heard any reference to it again, except once around 1992 when a local traffic reporter jokingly said "Buckwheat 28."
Might as well face it, pooing is cool

I accept and respect your identity as long as it's not dumb shit like "identifying as a vaccinated attack helicopter".

I never heard this. Perhaps I'm too young. It's a lot less boring than "state route", though.
Wait, it's all Ohio? Always has been.

I have been in and near enough to Ohio over the last 45 years or so, and I have never heard Ohio state routes referred to as Buckeyes.

It doesn't sound like a bad thing.  I've just never heard it.

Only if poo.
And what does this have to do with the subject at hand?  Enquiring minds want to know.
Don’t ask me how I know.  Just understand that I do.

Probably just some local announcer's catchphrase.
Government would be tolerable if not for politicians and bureaucrats.
