I-95 and US 1, just missing about 180 miles of I-95 in Florida, most in New York and a bit in Massachusetts. By contrast, there are several entire states I have not been on any of US 1 in.
From the land of red, white, yellow and black.

For me, I-91. I have the segment south of CT 15 and the segment north of I-89, plus a few exits in Massachusetts. I almost have both ends of I-90, but I haven't been on the tiny bit west of I-5 in Seattle.

Thought I'd have a real banger in I-80, but nope, I'm missing the last mile in San Fran proper.

I think it's I-81 - I've clinched about 90% of the 859 mile route including both termini - just missing most of the Harrisburg-Scranton stretch as there's no real convenient way to clinch that stretch from where I'm at.

US-1 (Technicality:  I've gone "north" from the southern terminus in Key West by walking and once in a golf cart, but not in a motor vehicle.)
Eastern US-2
I-75
I-94
I-95 (Technicality:  On the northern end, only to exit 305 (US-2) and not to the END I-95 assembly just beyond that at Customs.)

DandyDan

I don't have a 2di or a US Route that qualifies because I have clinched the only 2di (western I-88) and the only two US Routes (US 73 and US 159) I have driven both ends of. I have seen both ends of US 218, but did not drive the south end in Keokuk.

The longest state highway that qualifies is WI 35. MN 23 and IA 3 are the longest in their states.

I've now driven US 30 at each end.

West end between Portland and Astoria in Oregon.
East end between the terminus in Atlantic City and CR 575 in Galloway, NJ.

I-80 I now have segments at each end.
East- I've driven every part from Teaneck,, NJ to the Ohio Turnpike merge near Niles, OH.
West- I driven from US 101 in SF to I-505.

Oh and I-64.

I have it all driven, but from I-69 in IN to US 52 at Huntington, WV and from the I-64/ I-77 split to US 60 ( where it deviates from the interstate east of Beckley to Charleston in WV).
Every day is a winding road, you just got to get used to it.

Interstate: I-76 East
Missing almost all of the route between I-80 in OH and I-95 in Philadelphia

US Highway: None to the best of my knowledge

State Route: NY-32 (unless there is something obscure that I can't remember)
Missing most of the route between I-787 in Albany and the roundabout in downtown Glens Falls

roadman65

I forgot that I've been on both ends of Eastern I-76.

Only part missing is between Harrisburg East and West on the PA Turnpike and between I-70 at New Stanton to I-80 in Ohio.

Interstate 70 for me.  I've been at both ends but am about 50 miles short of clinching it, the longest stretch being between I-68 and I-76.

Both I-90 and I-40 are longer, and I've been at the west ends of both, but not on short stretches at their east ends.
Main Line Interstates clinched:  2, 4, 5, 8, 10, 11, 12, 14, 16, 17, 19, 20, 22, 24, 25, 26, 27, 29, 30, 37, 39, 43, 44, 45, 55, 57, 59, 65, 68, 71, 72, 74 (IA-IL-IN-OH), 76 (CO-NE), 76 (OH-PA-NJ), 78, 80, 82, 86 (ID), 88 (IL), 94, 96

For me, US 29 comes to mind.  1043 total miles long.  I've driven on it in downtown Pensacola FL as well as where it dead-ends at MD 99 near Ellicott City MD.  As well as several discontiguous segments in the middle.

I think I-90 just misses the mark for me. I've been on all of it in Washington. I've been on I-90 in Boston from Logan airport out to I-495. But, I missed the final stretch between the airport and MA-1, so doesn't quite count.

I also didn't drive on any of US-20 in Boston (though my hotel out in Marlborough was right on US-20 so I did drive it there). Though I would have been very near by it. I've been to the Newport, OR end multiple times as a kid/teen, though it's not on my travel mapping because I haven't been there as an adult while driving myself.

That leaves I-15 as the real answer for me. On the North end, I've been from the Canadian border through all of Montana, into Idaho until ID-22. On the south end, I have from I-8 up to CA-91. But I'm missing from Corona to Las Vegas, and ID-22 to Idaho Falls. Travel mapping says 1162/1451 mi, 80%. Travel Mapping I-15 (turn off show markers if you want to actually see it)

From my travels,

Interstate: I-80. Been to the section in SF as well as all of I-80 in NJ, but have a lot of missing segments.

Same for me. I forgot about it.

As I've not been to both ends of the country, I can't claim any routes for this. The closest I get is seeing I-40 in Wilmington and being on I-40 in Albuquerque. There's about a 1,000 mile gap between the two sections I've traveled, between Albuquerque and West Memphis.

I call this "bookending" a route.  For US Routes*, I have bookended US14, US31, US421, and US45. The longest Interstate I've bookended without clinching is probably I-64.

While it doesn't change my overall longest (I-91), I've now been on both ends of MA 9. Interestingly, the only portions I have of MA 9 are in Pittsfield west of US 7 (3/8 mile), east of Evans Way (i.e. Isabella Stewart Gardner museum) in Boston (1 3/4 miles), and a tiny portion over a decade ago from I-95/MA 128 to Ellis St. (about 3/8 mile depending on ramps taken).

US 40 for US Routes

Alabama 21 for state-level routes (7 miles to go)

Georgia SR 1 is actually longer, but entirely overlaps US 27.

Finished up AL 21 last month.

I think it's still Georgia SR 1 for state routes. Maybe something else out there?

Interstate: I-90 (3100 miles)
US Route: US90 (1633 miles)
State Route: I don't know that I have one that qualifies? I think everything I've been on both ends of, I've clinched.

I-80 I have done from San Francisco to Reno, Salt Lake City to New York City.

Soon after I commented on this thread I had no such examples I created one, A-121, which I'm now missing the section between Fuendejalon and this spot. It also happens to be one of only three "orange" road sections I still have to go for a full clinch in Aragon.
Supporter of the construction of several running gags, including I-366 with a speed limit of 85 mph (137 km/h) and the Hypotenuse.

Please note that I may mention "invalid" FM channels, i.e. ending in an even number or down to 87.5. These are valid in Europe.

I'd count that. They're really separate roads that never had a ghost of a chance of being connected, short of the US conquering Canada.

Me, likely WI 32 (I've been on it at both state lines, but I'm missing several sections in between).

The western US-2. Got the west end visiting friends in the Seattle area in 1986, from the terminus at Everett eastward to Wenatchee. I've been to the eastern end at St. Ignace (and also its historical end point at Sault Ste. Marie) many times.

TheCatalyst31

Probably I-24. I've driven the western end in southern Illinois, the eastern end in Chattanooga, and very little in between.
