Destination sign work on H-1 Freeway to commence in April 2025

Seems as if we'll be seeing the first destination signs since it was announced that they would be adding diacritical markings to all highway signs. From what I'm seeing, they're likely referring to the Exit 5 sign for 1/2 miles in advance on the H1, the four-panel setup on Kam Highway just off of Sam's Club, and the eastbound signs on Nimitz Hwy near the Joint Base PHH gate.

No news on the signs for the Airport exit or Exit 13 going westbound.

This is where I get interested because it's not clear on what font HDOT even plans to use on it. If it's FHWA, it makes sense because I already see certain post-2022 signs, and most recently the latest overpass street labels, going up with the standard font such as this one on the AARoads site with the proper spelling:

At the same time though, I've seen Clearview continue to be used for certain projects such as the Salt Lake resurfacing project that had all-Clearview signs going up as late as mid-2023 (though, it's likely they might be holdovers). Based on the font demo I tried online, Clearview has letters with macrons (for the kahakō), but it doesn't have a proper ʻokina in its character sets. If their plan is to still use Clearview here, then they'll probably have to either switch between fonts, use a standard apostrophe, or drop Clearview altogether.

As far as I know, Clearview has only been used on destination panels on highways and were never used on intersections except for in the Pearl Harbor section of Kam. Highway in 2018-19. So it's not very clear on what the status is since HDOT has not replaced a destination sign in a while. However, from what I've seen the majority of new signs installed since 2022 (Nimitz, Pali, certain signs along the rail) all use the standard Highway Gothic font such as this one by AARoads, installed no later than Feb. 2024:

Though I didn't take a picture of it, there is another trio of signs with the same font style and formatting directly mounted on the overpass for the Kahauiki rail station going wb on Kam Highway. I believe it was installed no earlier than April 2024.

At this point, I have no idea what they're going to do on these new signs since they're inconsistent with their font usage. I have not seen any new Clearview signs installed outside of the Salt Lake region, and from the leaked blueprints I've seen from the roadwork going on at the Middle Street merge (Likelike exit), the new signs are expected to use standard FHWA font. I assume that they've dropped Clearview since the March 2022 policy went up, but the "Interstate Routes H1 & H201, Destination Signs Upgrade/Replacement" drafted many years ago based these signs on the Clearview font (including the Phase 2 ones, which use standard fonts due to Clearview being temporarily banned, even for signs installed after it). Does anyone know where I can find blueprints for this project to see what their current status is on Clearview?

In either case, it seems we'll have to wait until the signs finally go up. Hopefully they drop Clearview completely.
