Quote from: RobbieL2415 on May 12, 2025, 09:22:00 AMThis NPS sign indicates Boston as a destination, yet Boston is northwest of it, across Cape Cod Bay, and traffic is more likely to be coming from Provincetown Center than the end of MA 6A.

I would assume 'Boston' is more the tourists.

Also, I like the 'EXIT ONLY' for a left turn lane here

Yeah, I'm not seeing the issue with the sign as tourists at Race Point are being directed to take US 6 back to Boston, bypassing Provincetown.

Business District on a black on white placecard on a guide sign is odd.

Why two shields for US 13?

White on brown placecard on this here guide.

It was just interesting to me that you're pointing people towards Boston when it's geographically in the opposite direction.

It would be better if it said Truro or Orleans.

Ugh.  Whatever.  Not getting sucked into another stupid control city debate.

That intersection has been cursed for decades. They've never figured out how to build it right, or even sign it right.

For some reason the National Park Service has Postmiles on Generals Highway between Kings Canyon National Park and Sequoia National Park.  The mileage counts down heading south and is displayed as "GEN HWY."

NPS uses postmiles on The Blue Ridge Parkway and Natchez Trace.  Probably on the Balt-Wash Parkway, too.  Not so irregular for them.

Supposedly I'll be going to Yosemite in two weeks.  I'll be curious if I find Postmile paddles there now also.

There are postmiles on CA 190 through Death Valley.

But I would expect to find them there.  CA 190 in Death Valley is maintained by Caltrans.

The SOUTH header over NJ 34 is odd considering that the ensuing exchange is a full cloverleaf allowing access to both directions of NJ 34.

Photo taken in January 25 on I-195 EB in Wall Township, NJ approaching its eastern terminus.

The use of "Rt." is odd to outsiders, but in New Jersey it is the norm to say "route" when referring to all designations.

Taken January 25 on School House Road EB in Manchester at Ocean County Route 530.

Its odd here for two reasons.  The off centered direction headers and the fact two completely different assemblies for both US 202 and 322 here.
