The possibility is definitely real, as the rematch has been set. Connor McDavid is the greatest Oiler to play in the 21st century, and while he'll never reach the level of Wayne Gretzky or even Mark Messier, winning the Stanley Cup would definitely be his ultimate crowning achievement and place him in more elite company. There's no one who's more deserving of the June glory right now.
