A very obviously tacked on "1" on a shield on the Zzyzx Rd/I-15 NB onramp:

This one looks like a rotated T-intersection sign. This is Liberty Road in between Randallstown and Eldersburg, Maryland, west of Baltimore.
I've seen that commonly enough near where I live, I thought it was a different version of the T-intersection sign!  :banghead:

OK, now what is the point of that?

I assume this sign used to be "Through Trucks Prohibited"?

The irony here is that this street doesn't actually lead anywhere except for looping back out onto the same road a few hundred feet away. so unlike in other applications of this sign, this isn't a place where someone could cut through a sleepy residental street in between two major roads.

Current (2024) GSV
The only sign that's still left on the posts.
I'm guessing it's a chopped-up, pre-GSV version of this (Platón Sánchez 3 →).

I found this one in my local area, which is pretty fascinating (using GSV because my picture of it turned out crap):

For some reason, the TX 288 shield is an old reused upside-down US 67 shield. What's interesting to me is that this sign is located about 300 miles away from US 67.

This is why we tend to use the backs of the signs whenever we reuse signs over here in Québec.

Forgot this thread existed so I'm moving this post here:

Someone who had been looking into whether some signage I requested in Alexandria, VA had been posted (spoiler alert: it hasn't) found this not too long ago. The other side is a Do Not Enter sign.

Heh.  I was going to direct you to it, but then I was too lazy to dig up the right thread.
