Yes, they are just a bad team.  There worse ones out there though.

Braves Field, Home of the Boston Braves:

Portions of the ballpark are still in use as Nickerson Field for Boston University

This is Wrigley Field in Los Angeles:

It was the home of the expansion Los Angeles Angels in 1961. On a roadgeek-related side note, I used to be confused by the sight of a "Wrigley Field" label on old maps of L.A., until I learned of the history of the ballpark, and I was also shocked to discover that it got its name before the one in Chicago did.

I guess it was too small for the Dodgers to play in when they originally moved to LA. So instead they did this to the LA Colesium.

Perhaps this could serve as a prelude to Milwaukee's first World Series championship since 1957, and its second overall title in five years, after the Bucks won the 2021 NBA Finals?

Well, maybe they'll start a new win streak at the Chicago Cubs later today  :D

One has to remember that in North American Baseball, a team that loses one out of every three games that they play will end their season with a 108-54 record.  Pretty much anyone in a team clubhouse would commit murder-one or worse for less.

If the NFL ever expands to 18 games, a team that does the above would get a 12-6 record.

As for the Brewers, they blanked my poor Cubbies 7-0, so the new win streak is at one. The way they're playing, Milwaukee may as well celebrate a championship in October; if they do, I hope they dedicate it to Bob Uecker's memory.

Cubs got a win today over the Brewers TWICE!

6-4 on the first game (make-up game from Monday- canceled due to weather)
4-1 on the second game (night game)

The Brewers are seven wins ahead of the second-place Cubs (79-47 vs. 72-54)

ESPN is still going to broadcast MLB games, just not on Sunday night anymore. It just bought the MLB Network, and will distribute select games on a weekly basis. Gone after this season are Sunday Night Baseball and the Friday night games on AppleTV; beginning next season, Sunday night games will be broadcast on NBC, which means it'll have a monopoly on that night's sporting events, with the NFL returning for a 20th season and the NBA coming back for the first time since 2002. FOX and FS1 will remain unaffected for the remainder of the TV deal that is set to expire in 2028.

Any substantive news regarding the identity of Baseball Karen?  I feel as though that was one of the most representative moments of the Philadelphia sports fandom ever caught on camera.

I hope that witch gets thrown out hard on her butt and is never allowed to see another game anywhere ever again! But she is from Philly, and their fans always cause chaos (like booing Santa Claus for missing a field goal at an Eagles game), so karma may be on her side.

It would have been interesting that novel adapted into a movie.
