I was noticing this bridge over a never built roadway on IH 35 Northbound before it crosses SH 422 south of San Antonio.  In addition the median of IH 35 briefly widens at that location as if an interchange was to be constructed that never got to fruition.

What particular freeway was cancelled that never got to see the light of day at this part of SA?
Every day is a winding road, you just got to get used to it.

It looks like based on Historic Aerials that there used to be some left exits built in the late 50s (hence the wide median) which were removed sometime around 2009 when the interchange was modernized with a NB frontage road. There was a lot of space back then around the interchange so they made the median pretty wide. Doesn't look like there was ever any canceled freeway.

Still that road from the I-35 interchange is flanked with service roads down to Leon creek despite being not planned to be upgraded as a freeway and the only planned freeway who was canceled in the San Antonio area was Bandera road.

Yeah and it's not just only quads.

Also, I spotted a old GSV from February 2008 before that ramp was removed. https://maps.app.goo.gl/AWNUDD8UCdUWg66D8
