  • What is the longest you've gone without sleeping? About 30 hours. Had an early flight, couldn't fall asleep before leaving for the airport and then finally fell asleep on the plane.
  • Do you sleep while driving? (one of the poll options is "always") Only once ever for a split second as best I remember.
  • Has anyone tried the 28-hour day sleep schedule? Can't say that I have.
  • Who do you sleep with? In my twenties, anyone who would let me.  :) Nowadays my wife for the full night and then my 3-year-old for half the night. (I hate this phase.)

I think we need some clarification on that forth item.  Is it considered "sleeping with someone" if they (or you) go home after intercourse?

Nope. That's just boinking.

The route of the Marine Corps Marathon has a section on the National Mall for which the map looks rather like an erect "male member" aimed directly at Congress.

"You know, you never have a guaranteed spot until you have a spot guaranteed."
—Olaf Kolzig, as quoted in the Washington Times on March 28, 2003,
commenting on the Capitals clinching a playoff spot.

"That sounded stupid, didn't it?"
—Kolzig, to the same reporter a few seconds later.

I'd argue it looks more like a revolver. Maybe a Jan 6th reference.

I count about 2-3 spots that look phallic, the National Mall, one near Rosslyn, and one near the Pentagon

Quote from: hotdogPi on October 21, 2025, 08:10:46 AMIn the vein of the existing sleep threads, including "how many states have you slept in" and "what is the highest elevation you've spent the night", here are some more ideas:

  • What is the longest you've gone without sleeping?
  • Do you sleep while driving? (one of the poll options is "always")
  • Has anyone tried the 28-hour day sleep schedule?
  • Who do you sleep with?

Interestingly enough, this classic thread also started with a sleep-related prompt.

I've been having a lot of back pain at night recently.  Last night I got to sleep pretty quickly but woke up after twenty minutes due to my back triggering.  My wife gave me her ergonomic pillow and it pretty much instantly solved the problem. I guess I'll probably be ordering one for myself I just never thought a pillow would be the solution.
