"Coming Up" by Paul McCartney is a weird record.

I have the 45, and it's not really labeled which side is the A-side and which is the B-side. One side is the studio version (which I like better), and the other side has the live version plus another live track. Apparently, the live version was the main version in the U.S., while the studio version was dominant in the U.K. But Casey Kasem called it a double-sided hit.

In addition, the studio version is credited to Paul McCartney solo, while the side with the live version is credited to Paul and his band Wings.

Most radio stations that I remember played the live version, but once in a great while, I heard the studio version.

I think the video had the studio version, but I hardly ever saw it.

Are there any other big hit records that had a weird setup like this?

I remember Kasem saying on AT40 that the live version was recorded at a concert in Glasgow. That version was the one that got the most airplay in the States.
