Yep.  Saw these in a few places in the Chicago area a couple of weeks ago.

In all seriousness, it means to obey the signal over your lane and ignore the others.  If you're heading northbound in the thru lanes and you have a red light, don't assume a malfunction and step on the gas because you see southbound traffic moving on its green.

I have only ever seen signage like this used in a situation where there are multiple signals in quick succession, such that someone might be confused as to which signal applies to them.

Las Vegas has some situations like that, as well as some where different lanes moving in the same direction can have different aspects displayed (i.e. one lane has a permanent green). In both situations, they just use louvers (not even fancy PV signal heads) to mask off the signals so they can't be seen by those they don't apply to.

Kirkwood, MO has a network of signs that illuminate when a train is on the crossing ahead. These signs direct traffic over to Clay Ave to use the bridge, as to prevent long backups from the slow moving freight trains that often go by there.

Kirkwood, MO has a network of signs that illuminate when a train is on the crossing ahead. These signs direct traffic over to Clay Ave to use the bridge, as to prevent long backups from the slow moving freight trains that often go by there.

Madison, AL, has a similar blank-out sign at the intersection of Sullivan Street and Mill Road, thanks to the fact that NS 287 (previously NS 283 prior to 283 being abolished altogether within the past year or two) tends to block the crossings on Sullivan Street and the neighboring Church Street in downtown Madison when it has to stop and work the storage tracks just east of downtown Madison to pick-up or drop-off cars from/for the intermodal terminal at the Huntsville International Airport. Admittedly it very much wasn't helped by the fact that the cars 283* would have to drop-off/pick-up were pretty much always located right in the middle of the train, much to the train crews' annoyance (in addition to the drivers' annoyance).
*Not sure if it's the same for 287, but knowing NS...

No Right Turn From Main Road in New York City

I thought this was kind of interesting, found while browsing Street View in Minneapolis. During snow emergencies, parking is only permitted on odd or even sides of the road alternating by day. However, there aren't any addresses along this segment of E 17th Street, making this clarification necessary. But it also begs the question: why does this street even exist?
