Any update on the US-90A interchange with TX-99?  Are the US-90A main-lane overpasses close to being completed and opened?

In design by the FBCTRA (Grand Parkway Toll Road Authority): (Project No. 101-1062) US 90A/SH 99 Direct Connector (South to East).

I forgot to mention this, but from what I saw earlier this week, the TX 36/FM 2004/2611 interchange near Jones Creek is now open!



All the work that remains is some traffic signal work.

Yep, that is correct! The latter (the Spur 10 interchange) was striped (on the overpass at least, couldn't get a picture) and basically ready to go when I passed through about a month ago. I wonder if TxDOT is waiting on the widening work on TX 36 in Needville to finish before they open this overpass:


The SH 35 interchange is less far along but is nonetheless close:


I find these interchanges pretty interesting given that I haven't experienced many backups at all three of these new interchanges when they were intersections, but I suppose they are doing it for safety and hurricane evacuations.

I have no idea how I forgot to post this, but the TX 36 overpass over the Spur 10 intersection south of Rosenberg is now open northbound as of last week! It may be open southbound now; I'll have to check again when I can.

These views show the status of construction of main lanes on the two sections of the US 90 (Northeast/Crosby Freeway) which were missing main lanes.

As you can see in one of these photos, the TxDOT Houston District idiotically permanently scored the concrete pavement with rumble grooves for the two temporary exits. I hope they will fix this properly by ripping out the damaged concrete and replacing it, but I expect them to do a low-quality infill that will continuously need repair for the next 50 years.
