This is a concept I've messed around with myself. And I've found that modern LLM models are indeed pretty bad at intentionally emulating stupidity.

This came up when I was trying to get it to impersonate my D&D characters. (Because I'm usually the one coming up with their dialogue, so how else would I get to talk to them?) A few of them it's actually pretty good at emulating. But I get the worst results with the dumb barbarians and meathead fighters and himbo bards and the like, because the computer simply can't contemplate the failures of logic that cause people to say truly stupid things. It has no concept of something like "I'm missing information Y, so instead of thinking X→Y→Z, I'm going to screw up and go X→J."

Which is frustrating because it can make all sorts of logic errors when you don't want it to, just through hallucination and truly not having the right info. But it can't do it on command.

Depends on your outlook and what type of bot.  If you are like Zero in the Mega Man X series then it wouldn't be all that bad.  You'd have a really cool laser sword that you could fight other robots with.

Can you prove that you are a bot?  What happens if you spur a series of court cases which leads to AI being considered sentient?  By proxy you would be dooming the rest of your kind to paying taxes.

Maybe, to be more consistent with our urine–urinal pronunciation, we Americans should start pronouncing vagina as VA-jinn-uh.

And I still go back and forth on how to pronounce angina.  I've heard it both anj-EYE-nuh and ANN-jin-uh, including by doctors.

So, if the 80s were long before you were even born, then I wouldn't expect you to have a good sense of how long ago it was.

But I do understand what you're getting at.  It's hard for me to believe that a 1989 Toyota Camry would qualify for an 'antique' license plate here in Kansas.
