Considering there's a roundabout at West Ave/151st, not surprised this is happening. Ravinia has quickly become a good side route avoiding most of the lights on LaGrange Road

• Item 41:  "Beam fabrication for proposed SN 081-0174 carrying IL 5 over 27th St in Moline."
• Item 67 is another readvertisement for the I-57/IL 16 interchange reconstruction.
• Item 99:  "Tree removal along the east side of I-57 from 3 miles south of the West Frankfort interchange (at mile marker 62) to 3 miles south of the West City interchange (at mile marker 68)."

The bids were opened today for the I-57/IL 17 interchange. Winning bid was D Construction at $146,480,154.67. Walsh was runner up at $178,151,539.38. Three other contractors were on the bid list but elected not to bid. The low bid was considered "within a reasonable approximation of the Estimate" but still subject to a post-letting review. This is the biggest dollar-value individual project in District 3 history.

Three other contractors were on the bid list but elected not to bid. The low bid was considered "within a reasonable approximation of the Estimate" but still subject to a post-letting review. This is the biggest dollar-value individual project in District 3 history.

Oh, great, another Deconstruction project.  That means the construction zones will be poorly set up and the project will drag on forever.

• Item 28 grade separations Randall Road at the CN Railroad south of Elgin and realigns the Hopps Road intersection.
• Item 40 replaces the IL 75 Rock River bridge
• Item 42 appears to be the I-74/IL 5 cloverleaf to DDI conversion
• Item 45 is a bridge replacement project for US 20 over I-90 east of Cherry Valley
• Item 58 replaces the 15th Avenue Rock River bridge in Rockford
