Any signal collectors and/or enthusiasts here?

It seems a lot of folks here are interested in highways and what not, but I am curious if there are any signal collectors (maybe even enthusiasts)?

I've been collecting primarily vintage NYC signal equipment for about 6 years.

I'm a signal fan as you probably already know, and I also have two traffic lights with plans to get more (hopefully an incandescent 12 inch Winkomatic and a worded 16 inch ICC pedestrian signal).

I also am a signal fan, and have a collection of may be 5 or so signals. Unfortunately, not many road enthusiasts on here share the same passion for signals as us, but a select few do.

Traffic signals are what first piqued my interest in roads when I was 5 or 6. I still note the different styles when I travel around the country. They are much more bland these days since mast-arms took over as the main signal array (making it harder to determine the backing no less).

I own two signals that I purchased from the city of Mobile. A retired Eagle and Crouse Hinds, both with 8" R-Y-G lens. They are currently collecting dust in a garage though

I've had an interest since whenever I first started playing with toy cars (4 or 5 yo). My first toy traffic light came from a Little People set, and I remember not liking it as much because it had the extra yellow phase when you changed it from red to green. Two of my favorite toy signals were ones made by Playmobil and Majorette. I recall making a couple our of paper back in elementary school...first just with a slider to "change" the lights, then I started to get fancy by adding visors. I remember passing time when I was bored at a parade by pressing the ped call button to get the lights to change. My childhood dream was to have a real light-up signal that I could control. That dream became a reality just after graduating high school, when I purchased a knock-down that was in the scrapyard in my hometown. That light resides in my living room to this day, and is a conversation starter for every new person that walks thru the door. Oddly, I think my fiancée is starting to like it even more than I do, as she seems to turn it on more often than me.
