I figured after lurking for a while, I might as well join in on the fun.   My name is Geoff, and I've lurked on many of your individual roads pages for years now, especially those that remind me of my native Connecticut.  I enjoy trying to keep up with changes to places I've lived.

I was always a bit of a road geek as a child, and was happy to discover other like-minded people on the internet, especially those smart enough to document those sorts of changes over the years with photos.  It's strange trying to explain to my wife stuff that I notice that catches my eye while on vacation, "ohh, there was a toll booth here until there was a giant deadly pileup" or "this bridge collapsed when I was a kid and my aunt was nearly on it at the time".

I was born and raised in Fairfield County, CT, too many towns to list individually.  For whatever reason, we were very nomadic as a family, and found our way to Pennsylvania and finally Jacksonville, FL before graduating high school.

I came to college in Alabama and never really left, other than a few school vacations in Miami and one in Portsmouth, NH until my parents settled here permanently.

Since I've lived all over the place, and have traveled extensively, I hope I can jump in on a variety of subjects.  But, I wanted to at least introduce myself first before adding to threads and having people wonder who the heck I was.

Howdy, from Texas!
I'm sure you'll enjoy it on here! I've always wanted to go to New England and the Eastern U.S. Farthest east I've been is Louisiana..
