My first ever road video, feedback welcome

Well, I decided to take a video this morning of my commute from close to my place in Brampton (after I pick up my carpooling mate at a nearby power center) and head into downtown Toronto. This is my first attempt at such a video so I was wondering on feedback of what you guys think:

Below in this google maps link is the route I took and while I didn't get entirely to my destination (the phone stopped recording for some reason) I was about 2 minutes away. This video is 4x the speed of real time, and in case you are wondering.

The time at the beginning of the video is roughly 5:50 AM.

Traffic is pretty heavy for the early morning. That's the norm for Toronto though; I lived in Hamilton for seven years. Anyway, on topic...

I don't make road videos, but I do watch them... a lot. I was very surprised that you took that video with your cell phone. That resolution is pretty clear.

However I would recommend a few things:

-It wasn't bad during the video, but try to stabilize your camera as much as possible. I know it will never be perfect, but try to do what you can.
-Tell us which road you're on every time you turn. You can get easily lost.
-I would only record at night on a major urban freeway (which you did, but for the future). Many people watch road videos for the scenery, and especially in more rural areas, it's hard to see anything at night. Kind of obvious, but I decided to throw it in anyway.
-Add music. If you don't, I put another YouTube (music) video on and switch tabs to your video. It doesn't have to be extravagant, but something appropriate for the area you're driving in.
-This is more of a personal favourite more than anything, but signs are good in videos (even just reassurance markers for highways would make a difference). Again, not extravagant, but show the audience where you are. I'd be happy to do some for you, if you like.

These are all my opinion of course. I've thought about making my own videos one day (once I get a car and equipment of course)  :-D

Wow, didn't realize that was from your phone!

Here is what I tried making one for the Herb Gray Parkway as I was in the area the past weekend, and I added music this time.....would be surprised if anyone could recognize that tune, it's another interest of mine lol:

I'm glad you made that because there's patchy Streetview in that area right now, since it was opened only last year. Liked the video. I think it was great. Would be nice getting other people's opinions other than mine though.

Wild guess for the music: Sounds like something from a video game or anime. :hmm: Could be way off...  :banghead:
