Here is a gallery of dangerous driving and destruction, often alcohol-fueled, ranging from the criminal to the ridiculous. It doesn't claim to be an all-inclusive list. No doubt we've missed a number of worthy candidates.

And we fudged a bit on the "Bay Area" part, as one individual is from Humboldt County.

The one good thing about these bad drivers is that at least some of them won't be driving again anytime soon.

Gary Arnone, a 71-year-old San Rafael man, has the dubious distinction of being arrested for drunken driving twice in 12 hours. He was booked for suspected DUI after being pulled over for erratic driving at 3 a.m May 16 and then apparently released about six hours later. A motorcycle officer stopped him at 2:45 p.m. and arrested him on suspicion of drunken driving. He was picked up for a third DUI five days later. According to court records, his blood-alcohol levels were .28 percent, .26 percent and .35 percent. A BAC of .08 is the legal limit. (Note: Photo for illustration only.)

When I was in college, one of the staff members was arrested after getting two DWIs in one night.  The ironic thing?  he was (at the time; he lost his job over this) the Wellness Coordinator, which among other things, involves dealing with students that have drinking problems.
