Shortest GAPS between Concurrencies.

 What are some really short gaps between two different concurrencies? I'm mainly looking for interstates or US routes. But states routes can be included. But try not to include routes such as FL 5 that are mainly concurrent with a US route or interstate and/or are mostly unsigned. I guess you can include signed routes, but I'm not really looking for a GA 26 type. Off the top of my head:

- US 90 and 98 separate from a concurrency, only to reconnect 0.8 miles later. (And then they seperate again only 0.2 miles later!) This has to be the shortest.
- US 20 and 26 have a 25 mile gap (although drivers on 20 cannot directly reach 26)

Just a reminder that US 6, 49, 50, and 98 are superior to your fave routes :)

I-35 and US 69 in Kansas, latter route exits off I-35 at 228B, then rejoins with I-35 at 231.

US 41 and 441 in Lake City, FL now have 2 miles between 2 concurrencies in that city.

US 98 and US 301 used to have about a mile in Dade City, FL before both got routed to the truck bypass.

Most likely talking Prineville Junction and Bend with US 97.
Idaho Falls is a better candidate, but I don't think it meets what the OP's looking for?

US 12 and 20 have a 5 mile gap in their concurrency in East Chicago, IN.
Indiana: counties 100%, highways 100%
Illinois: counties 100%, highways 61%
Michigan: counties 100%, highways 56%
Wisconsin: counties 86%, highways 23%

I thought US 20 used I-25 between Casper and Glassrock and 26 used the old route im so dumb.  :-| But wow I didn't realize they had that many concurrencies, im sure they have a gap somewhere near 30 miles.

US 41 has two different concurrencies with US 11 & US 64 in Chattanooga.

Someone check the status of US 11 and US 460 in the Salem/Roanoke area.


Government would be tolerable if not for politicians and bureaucrats.

US 11 and US 460 only have 1 concurrence...it is US 11 ALT that joins US 460 not long after the 11-460 split in Salem.

I don't see a 2nd US 90-98 concurrency in Pensacola.  US 98-319 have two concurrencies 17 miles apart.

The Chattanooga example is just 3 miles apart

US 74-76 split and rejoin in Wilmington NC, about 9 miles apart (used to be 8 before US 74 was removed from downtown)
US 1 and 15-501 split and rejoin concurencies 23 miles apart

US 31 and US 431 have separate concurrencies 16 miles apart between Franklin and Nashville TN.
US 41 and US 431 have separate concurrencies 24 miles apart between Springfield and Nashville TN.

I-84 and US 30 do this a few times in Oregon, the Huntington one is about 8 miles between concurrencies

A contender is US 87-287 in Amarillo with concurrencies 2 miles apart with the weird split that occurs in central Amarillo.

The concurrency gap I'm talking about is in Spanish Fort. 90 uses Old Spanish Trail while 98 uses battleship parkway or whatever it's called. You probably didn't catch it because Google maps still has 98 on 90's routing. And the concurrency itself is only like 0.2 miles

US 19 exits US 460 on the west side of Bluefield, VA and rejoins 10 miles later on the east side of Bluefield, WV. US 460 is on a bypass while US 19 remains on the original route.

Heading north from Beckley, WV 16 runs concurrently with US 19. They break apart for about 9 miles until just outside of Oak Hill, where they have a brief concurrency. There used to be another brief concurrency about 3 miles north but WV 16 was moved to a reconstructed independent alignment about 10 years as part of the Lochgelly Road interchange project.

There are about 14 miles between the two concurrencies of WV 2 and WV 62 near Point Pleasant. The concurrencies actually run in opposite directions from each other - the one closest to Point Pleasant is WV 2 NB with WV 62 SB, the second one is WV 2 NB with WV 62 NB.

WVDOT went to great pains to confuse motorists with the renumbering of US 33 when that route was moved onto the new highway in Ohio and the Ravenswood bridge. I think it would have been more logical to extend WV 62 across the new bridge at Pomeroy, and renumber the former US 33 as WV 133.

Similarly, the join-and-split dance US 19 and WV 16 do between Beckley and Fayetteville seems a bit unnecessary. The old route could very easily carry a county route number.

There's another 1.5 mile concurrency gap ending in a 0.3-mile wrong-way concurrency in Mobile. US 98 takes the Bankhead Tunnel and Government St before turning north onto Broad St. US 90 heads north (this is not on Google Maps) along the Old Spanish Trail and Cochrane Bridge, travels south down I-165, Beauregard St, and Broad St. where it meets with US 98.

Just a note that I use whichever route is shortest between their concurrencies.

-US 6 and US 20 have a 5.7 mile gap from Cleveland to East Cleveland as well.

5.3 miles between the M-96 and BL I-94 concurrencies in Battle Creek.  The eastern concurrency is same-way while the western concurrency is wrong-way.

11.3 miles (Hancock to Calumet) between the two US-41 and M-26 concurrencies.

I can only think of one pair of routes in MN that overlap twice (US 212 and MN 5), and there's a nothing special 28 miles between the overlaps.
