Why does US 63 takes such a detour along I-40 and I-55 in Arkansas? An alignment via Little Rock would make more sense imo.

U.S. 63 was extended southward from Memphis to Ruston, LA in 1999. The route is unsigned along its shared alignment on Interstate 40.
