I know a fellow who goes by the nickname Goat (if you've ever been to a Washington Capitals home game or watched one on TV, you'll have heard him, the guy who starts the call-and-respond "Let's Go Caps"). When I saw the subject line here, I pictured him causing trouble on Jersey highways.

"You know, you never have a guaranteed spot until you have a spot guaranteed."

commenting on the Capitals clinching a playoff spot.

"That sounded stupid, didn't it?"
—Kolzig, to the same reporter a few seconds later.
