Just realized, I don't think I've ever shared this here before. It's a pretty normal modern yield sign, if vandalized with spray-paint, but I don't think I've ever seen one covered in cheese slices before.

Neither the cheese nor the crossbuck exist anymore, CSX upgraded that crossing to gated signals a couple of years after that picture was taken. It still remains one of the strangest things I've seen while out railfanning though.

I wonder if those holes are from birds pecking at it. Doesn't look like swiss cheese.

There were a bunch of ants crawling all over it, so I imagine those holes were from where the slices were being picked apart by them.
