Nice photo! And I have been keeping up with your many photos on Flickr you've posted the past month that you have not posted on here, and those all look nice as well.

If you like these as well wait till you see what I have next.  Starting tomorrow I will be posting I-10 photos heading westward to New Orleans where I will then post some photos around the Big Easy and some I-49 photos from around Lafayette, Opelousas, and Alexandria.

I have so many that it is hard to keep up.  Now I know why some of you who own your own sites take almost a year or more to post photos of your road trips and other's submissions.  It is not easy.

However it is all worth it though.  And thanks!

I am now complete in my latest updates in the Sunshine State with photos from around Pensacola, FL.

In the next few days I will be posting photos from Alabama along the I-10 corridor.  Plus until Easter, I will be posting them once a week 7 photos, one for each day, as I am giving up flickr for Lent so I will not be going on the site during Lenten weekdays.

Expect to see some from around Mobile and Spanish Fort this week.  Until then enjoy the photos.

Two new updates today.
https://www.flickr.com/photos/54480415@N08/16834367637/in/photostream
Historic signage along LA 48 E Bound at an interchange that has been totally reconfigured.   Since the Huey P. Long Bridge's widening project, the flyover that carried LA 48 over a traffic circle at the bridge's eastshore approach are both now gone.  Now the bridge itself is extended over LA 48  and meets the ramps to the bridge at grade so no more free flowing through here as it has been before.

https://www.flickr.com/photos/54480415@N08/17053644872/ A picture of the Hale Boggs Bridge as seen N Bound from I-310 near St. Rose, LA along with a guide sign for Exit 6 leading to LA 48.

Thanks so much for viewing.  Enjoy these new updates as I am now back to a daily routine of updating.

Edit 4-7-2015.  Added a photo taken along I-310 N Bound at US 61 interchange. https://www.flickr.com/photos/54480415@N08/16878541918/

Edit 4-8-2015 Added a photo from the southern beginning of LA 57 in Cocoradie, LA.  The shield is the newer black on white LA highway shield and lacks a directional header.

Edit 4-9-2015 Added another photo from the southern start of LA 57 showing the mileage sign seen in my last update up close.

Hey fellow road fans, I have just finished uploading a whole slough of photos from South Central Louisiana.   I know a lot of people here like my freeway photos and, of course, my last several updates were local road scenes of typical non freeway signage, however I had some pics of traveling from Baton Rouge to Houma via the two lane LA Routes in between that I needed to post.

For you freeway lovers, I will be back tomorrow posting some more I-10 pictures. Then I will be posting a couple of pics from New Orleans before moving on to I-49 photos.  So plenty of freeway pictures to come.  Enjoy these I have for now.

Is that the "easy eye edition" of the 10 and 610 shields?

It sure looks that way.  LADOTD always uses something odd LOL?

One half mile to Exit 232 on I-10 E Bound a complex interchange with both US 61 and Carrolton Avenue with some other side streets as well.

Today's update.  Still on I-10 E Bound of course.

Todays update is of the ramp signage as seen from I-10 E Bound for Exit 232 with a KEEP RIGHT sign for those traveling to US 61 as the ramp eventually splits between it and Carrolwood Avenue.

Today I have a photo of the sign assembly attached to an overpass just before I-10 E Bound exits itself to give way to US 90 Business which continues across the Crescent City Connection to the Westbank of the Mississippi River.

Post Merge: August 17, 2016, 02:53:44 PM

Today's update features I-10 E Bound at US 90 Business in Downtown NOLA.  Notice the conflict of exit numbers here as the overhead sign shows the first exit W Bound on US 90 Business which is Exit 13B while the gore exit sign shows the actual exit to the left from straight through I-10 E Bound to the right using Exit 234A.

A road scene along St. Charles Avenue in Uptown NOLA.  Notice the trolley tracks along the middle of the boulevard type set up.  That is the St. Charles Ave. Streetcar Line that uses the median and is very much active and a definite MUST to ride on when visiting NOLA.

Today's update moves along Howard Avenue in Downtown New Orleans.  This is looking toward the River and in the backround is Lee and Charles Circle.  In the median is a Perley Thomas 1920's vintage streetcar en route to Canal Street along the St. Charles Avenue Line which is the longest continuous running streetcar line to date running a 13 plus mile route from Canal Street Downtown to Clairborne Avenue in the Carrolwood Neighborhood.

Moving along to Lafayette, LA now along US 90 W Bound and US 167 N Bound at Second Street.

Post Merge: August 17, 2016, 02:51:02 PM

Moving along US 90 and US 167 as the two routes overlap for a very short distance in Lafayette, LA. This is where US 90 leaves the two route concurrency.  Its the first time US 90 turns since the Huey P. Long Bridge near NOLA as most of US 90 from the bridge to Lafayette is on a continuous expressway with some freeway segments.

Beyond the intersection US 167 continues north to meet I-10 and the start of I-49 a short distance later.

Post Merge: August 17, 2016, 02:54:46 PM

Now I am moving up US 167 to almost where it concurs with I-49 at the I-10 cloverleaf.

Post Merge: August 17, 2016, 02:50:58 PM

Photo taken along I-49 and US 167 at I-49's current north beginning is today's update.  Enjoy.

Post Merge: August 17, 2016, 02:52:36 PM

Moving up to its first interchange along I-49.  To avoid an Exit 0 with I-10, its southern terminus, LADOTD just added a letter C to the exit closest to the current Mile 1 and made the terminus 1A and 1B, and left straight through US 167 South into Lafayette unnumbered.

Approaching the City of Alexandria along I-49 North.  Exit 80 starts a second concurrency with US 167 and a Bypass designation for US 71 as its mainline route runs along the city streets of Alexandria.  Also the speed limit drops to 60 mph from here northward as yellow speed reducing signs are present in the distance.

In LA, so far, I-49 is the only LA interstate with a speed limit higher than 70 mph.  Most of I-49 north of Opelousas, including the new section north of Shreveport is posted for 75 mph.  It is just that in Alexandria, for obvious reasons, is only 60 mph.

Post Merge: August 17, 2016, 02:50:56 PM

Here is one more, for today's update taken along I-49 in Alexandria at Broadway Ave.

Post Merge: August 17, 2016, 02:51:30 PM
Today I give you more of I-49 in Alexandria at one of the city's biggest interchanges.  Notice also the green LA 28 sign to the left beneath the overhead gantry.  One of the last remaining one's as LADOTD is changing all of them for white face and black letters instead of the classic green with white number shields.

Post Merge: August 17, 2016, 02:52:33 PM

Moving along I-49 Northward through Alexandria has me passing Exit 86 for MacArthur Drive once again.  This time not only carrying US 71, but US 165 with LA 28 departing the interstate at this interchange as well.

My latest updates are from around the Webb City and Joplin Missouri area.

Personally I find this particular sign gantry to be interesting as the SB MO 249 control city is "Joplin" considering that motorists along this stretch came from that particular place.

More interestingly is the fact that several miles later when MO 171 intersects I-49 that "Joplin" will be used one more time for the SB I-49/US 71 ramp.

That's a lot of brown for a local historic district:

https://www.flickr.com/photos/54480415@N08/24190919423/in/album-72157665212405685/

https://www.flickr.com/photos/54480415@N08/24002423104/in/album-72157665212405685/

I can see this for a state or national park, but if this is the way it's supposed to be, perhaps we should expect signs on NY 27 at Exit 54 to be replaced with blue ones, considering that the road is for Brookhaven Memorial Hospital.

I just created a photo gallery for Florida's Scenic Highway 17 in the Haines City area.  Some show construction last Summer of the road being redone and while doing so FDOT had the roadway in a temporary one way set up.  The final results are also shown post construction at the same locations.  Enjoy!

Also each day I have been adding a photo from I-95 N Bound in Palm Beach County so as of now I have I-95 captured between Riviera Beach to Jupiter in addition to my I-95 photos from Palm Bay to the GA State Line.

I just added a new gallery for Illinois with some I-70 E Bound and pictures from around Vandalia on a trip I took last Fall.

I plan to add more I-70 photos next weekend.

Yes the clouds can also get in the way.  A setback as well as the sun, especially in the Fall, Winter, and Early Spring when the days get shorter.  I took many WB photos of I-70, that came out badly due to it was mid afternoon in Early November, but I did manage to get many good I-70 E Bound photos along its concurrency with I-55 though.

Enjoy!

Just got finished creating a photo update of some pictures I took last year in Oklahoma.  I now have a new gallery created of US Highway 69 with ten photos at various points in the state and even a couple of historic route 66 photos from where the US route used to concur with the ole Mother Road.

Also I added some more I-70 pictures to my IL Roads page as well.

I just put together an album of some Kansas road photos from my November trip to the Sunflower State.  Sorry some of the pics were not all that great due to the late day sun, but I have the terminuses covered in South Haven of both US routes that end there.  Enjoy!

I just finished putting together a flickr album for Florida's Turnpike.   So far I gathered over 30 photos heading NB in St. Lucie County and in Ocoee and Winter Garden in Orange County.   Not the best photos as some have windshield smears and stuff, but enough for a glimpse into the roadway in those two specific areas including one construction photo of the future Minneola Interchange that is currently being built as well.  My memory card maxed out just as I photographed them, so sorry I could not get more of that particular project.

Meanwhile enjoy.

I have an album on my flickr page that contains 23 new photos that I took back in June 15 of the I-35W Freeway in Fort Worth.  Both are taken north and south along the freeway between FM 1187 and IH 20.  Enjoy!
