It was nice to see that WA 9 is finally getting widened in phases from WA 522 to the north so far to Clearview. However when WSDOT widened WA 9 between WA 96 and Marsh Road, I think that they may have dropped the ball on a chance to elevate that roadway at the same time in order to allow it to be passable during flooding. An interchange also could have easily been built at Marsh Road/Airport Way at the same time. I had a couple of ideas for an interchange at that location: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Hsnm-mT11M ..... The way it is built now, WA 9 is just yet another victim to road closures when any flooding occurs.
