In Wildhorse BBQ just south of Sallisaw, OK.  It's right on a (very) recently bypassed stretch of US 59, so the sign is fitting.

Here's a pic without flash.  I had to adjust the levels quite a bit because the picture was very dark.

The BBQ was good, and very reasonably priced.  A true hole in the wall BBQ joint.

Hodad's in San Diego has a Hawaii 11 cutout hanging on the wall beyond the register. Have never gotten a photo of it though...

Pizza by Stout in Joplin, MO has a Missouri US 136 cutout and a California-style US 61 cutout.  They have a second 136 shield that appears to be a pasted over US 40.

can you get some photos please?

I'm guessing the 61 looks like this 40:

that's the freeway standard from the late 50s.  Not quite the same shape as a California cutout, but the same legend for sure.

Similar, but a little wider at the "neck" .

As far as photos, I'll try to remember to ask permission next time I'm up that way. ;-)

heh so MO also used the "wider around the neck" style?  didn't know that ... though for all I know we have an example in the gallery, and I personally uploaded it, and I just plain don't remember.
